Review:
Sony Xperia U is a good phone with all the required features. Sony Xperia
U is one of the Sony NXT series. Disadvantages include: secondary camera image
quality is very low, no microSD memory card slot, only 4GB memory storage is
made available to the user. Advantages include: mind blowing camera quality,
super-fast processor, bright screen, excellent sound quality, supports OnTheGo
i.e. you can add external mediums like hard disk, pen drive etc. The operating
system can be update to Android v 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Specifications or features:
Display: The size of the display is 3.5 inches LED-backlit
LCD capacitive touchscreen and the resolution of the screen is 480*854 pixels,
multi- touch. The display is protected by scratch resistant glass,
anti-reflection coating on mineral glass and screen shot capturing.
Dimensions: The dimensions of the device are 112*54*12 mm and the
weight of the phone is 110 g.
Operating System: The operating
system on which this device runs is Android v2.3 Gingerbread which can be
upgraded to Android v 4.0 Ice Cream and includes Timescape User Interface, Sony
Mobile BRAVIA Engine. The processor installed in this device dual core 1 GHz
Cortex A-9 processor and consists of STE U8500 chipset. RAM is 512 MB.
Connectivity: The data connectivity features include GPRS, EDGE,

timer and image stabilization.
Multimedia: Video formats supported are H2.64, H2.63, 3GPP, HD
video playback and MP4 and audio formats supported are MP3, eAAC+ and WAV
player
Memory: The internal storage memory is 8 GB where 4GB is
made available to the user and cannot be expandable because of the absence of micro
SD memory card slot
Battery: The battery is li-Ion 1320mAh powered battery and
offers 5 hours 6 minutes of battery life for talk time and 472 hours of battery
life for standby mode.
